Subject: Ubuntu 10.10: Notes Clients starts forever ("Daten werden geladen")
Feedback Type: Problem
Product Area: Notes Client
Technical Area: Crash
Platform: Linux client - Ubuntu
Release: 8.5.2
Reproducible: Always
Hi,
since December last year my Notes Client (8.5.2) doesn't starts anymore (Ubuntu 10.10, 32 bit). I hoped to solve it by fixpack 1. But now installed its the same problem: The Client starts with the splash screen and all the messages. But the last message ("Daten werden geladen...Bitte warten Sie") runs forever and nothing more happens.
If I start the client from command line I can see a error line:
*** glibc detected *** /opt/ibm/lotus/notes/framework/rcp/eclipse/plugins/com.ibm.rcp.base_6.2.2.20100729-1241/linux/x86/notes2: malloc(): memory corruption: 0x0a051648 ***
I completly deinstalled the client (program and data). After a fresh install (8.5.2 and 8.5.2 FP1) the problem persists.
Any suggestions?
